Just a short update to say...

WE MADE IT !

Thank you for everyone's prayers. We made it through three long days of driving with three tired little boys, got through the U.S. border and arrived in Minnesota yesterday evening, tired and grateful !

David had grace with the border patrol officers, who allowed him into the country; however, he will need to leave the U.S. within 90 days in order to finish applying for his student visa. We are looking into the details of that and will update you as we know more !

Yesterday we allowed ourselves to relax and recover from the long road trip. This morning, we jumped into action ! David took an exam to establish his English proficiency level in order to finalize his application for the community college. He passed with flying colors and will now be registering for a math exam in the coming weeks. The move finally behind us, Elise has started concentrating more efforts on searching for work and handling all of the paperwork (yuck !) that comes with an International family moving to the USA.

Jude is quickly warming up to his American family, whom he hasn't seen very often in his short lifetime. He loves our family's dog and cat, and is sleeping in the laundry room where the snake it housed. :-)

We are so thankful to be here, thankful for an uneventful cross-country trip, thankful for our family who is surrounding us, and thankful for God's protection and grace in this entire moving process. We have great expectation for the coming days, weeks and months !

Prayer requests:

-for David's math exam in the next couple of weeks

-that we will be able to clearly understand all of the instructions for applying for David's student visa and that we can proceed with wisdom -for grace as we integrate into a new culture and language

-for wisdom and guidance as Elise applies for jobs

-for Jude, whose skin has worsened since moving
